The most memorable moment of the 15^th annual Mulligans for the Mission was when Brock Hughes put on a show for the camera on the 17^th hole saying, “Dr. Claire, this ace is for you,” and then proceeded to actually make a hole-in-one! The excitement quickly spread throughout the crowd.

Even with this unexpected triumph, it was the figurative hole-in-one that was most meaningful this year. The 2024 event raised a record-breaking $275,000, which will go to support the Mobile Health Outreach Ministry. The Mobile Health Outreach Ministry brings Ascension St. Vincent’s associates beyond the walls of its health system to provide free acute and preventative medical care to those who would otherwise have no access. In fact, Mobile Health completed more than 12,000 patient visits in fiscal year 2023 alone.

Ascension St. Vincent’s Foundation President Patrick Henry credits the event’s success to loyal golfer participation, generous sponsors and the event committee’s hard work.

“Not only do so many of our golfers return year after year, but plenty of our sponsors do too,” Henry said. “Their generosity is the foundation of this event’s success.”

The Foundation extends a big thank you to the top event sponsors for this year: HNI Healthcare, Southeast Orthopedic Specialists, Outcomes by HOPCo and W.W. Gay. The organization also expresses its gratitude to all the other sponsors and participants who supported the event.

Henry added that the Ascension St. Vincent’s Foundation team did a great job of working seamlessly with TPC Sawgrass to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves.
