We’re Celebrating Physicians Giving Society at The Yards This October

Our Physicians Giving Society Celebration – an exclusive event honoring the philanthropic leadership of our ministry’s physicians is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at The Yards in Ponte Vedra Beach.

This event highlights a major year for the Physicians Giving Society, with more than $750,000 in grants and disbursements already making a transformative difference across our community.The celebration at The Yards is a heartfelt "thank you" to physicians for their dedication. 

Attendees will enjoy a putting green perfect for friendly competition and popular lawn games like axe throwing, cornhole, and giant Jenga. The beautiful indoor and outdoor event areas, including the Greenhouse and Bar, will feature high-quality food, including options from Gaucho Grill, a culinary experience all its own. This is an evening designed for relaxation, connection, and celebrating physician leadership.

The Physicians Giving Society embodies a remarkable partnership between Ascension St. Vincent's Foundation and physicians who have collectively contributed over $1.4 million to directly improve patient care and support the ministry's mission. This celebration provides a powerful opportunity to reflect on the incredible impact this generosity has created.

"Physicians are healers and leaders in our communities, and it is a great joy for us to honor the ways in which Physicians Giving Society is doing both of those things through their philanthropy," Darren White, Executive Director of Ascension St. Vincent's Foundation, said. "This celebration is a chance to connect and to remember how the work our ministry does extends health, hope, and healing to all."

This year stands out as the biggest year ever for the Society, with more than $750,000 in grants directed toward critical areas: equipment and technology; supporting caregivers and staff; and expanding outreach and care for the underserved. 

These vital projects include initiatives such as new Butterfly iQ3s devices for enhanced diagnostic capabilities, a Pharmacy Intern Pilot Program aimed at improving patient care after discharge, and the Brighter Beginnings program empowering expectant mothers and new families. 

Significant grants this year also include a $250,000 commitment to the Mobile Health Ministry, which delivers essential healthcare directly to communities in need, and a $250,000 matching grant for the new Level II NICU at Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay County. These substantial gifts are expected to yield tenfold returns in saved lives, supported associates, and a clearer vision for the future of the ministry and the community it serves.

Each of these projects reflects the shared mission-driven approach to healthcare, powerfully demonstrating how, together, the Physicians Giving Society is transforming healthcare in Northeast Florida.
