Targeting Hope: The 32nd Annual Fun Shoot Raises Funds for Uninsured Patients

January 31, 2025

First place W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc.

The 32nd annual Fun Shoot was a record-breaking success, raising more than $54,995 for Ascension St. Vincent’s Good Samaritan Fund. Held at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports, the event united incredible supporters including our presenting sponsors, Miller Electric Company and W. W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc. The Good Samaritan Fund provides essential medications, equipment, shelter and transportation to uninsured and underinsured patients facing life’s toughest challenges.

On Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, skilled marksmen spent the day championing the range while enjoying each other’s company and plenty of good food. Their support will provide tangible hope for real people, like the 76-yearold heart surgery patient who recently received lifesaving oxygen-equipped transport to his rehabilitation facility.

“Together, we’re not just providing medical assistance,” said Susan DuChanois with the Ascension St. Vincent’s Foundation. “We’re offering a brighter future to individuals who would otherwise have no access to critical care. No one should have to face their toughest battles alone.”

Congratulations to our event winners: W. W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc., first place (pictured here); Team Chappano and Longenecker, second place; and Plumbers & Pipefitters UA Local 234, third place. Thank you to every participant and volunteer who made this year’s Fun Shoot a success, with special thanks to the following sponsors:
