Lucy Gooding Foundation Provides $300,000 for Mobile Health
August 6, 2025

When Anna came to one of our Mobile Health units for a routine sports physical, she had no idea it could save her life. The uninsured teenager had found a lump in her breast but couldn’t afford the diagnostic testing needed.
Our Mobile Health team connected Anna with St. Vincent's Riverside Breast Health Center for a full workup — ultrasound, mammograms, and a surgical biopsy, completely free for her family. Thankfully, the lump was benign. But the tests also revealed a predisposition to breast cancer, giving Anna and her family crucial insight for the future.
Stories like Anna’s are possible because of partners like the Lucy Gooding Charitable Foundation Trust, which understands that real healing takes both immediate care and long-term commitment.
For nearly 25 years, the Trust has stood beside our Mobile Health Outreach Ministry, contributing $6.4 million to bring care directly to the children who need it most. Their most recent gift of $300,000 supports pediatric outreach, keeping our mobile teams on the road and equipped to serve.
This isn't just about funding — it's about showing up year after year. Because whether it’s a refugee child needing a school physical, a teenager discovering a health concern, or a family in a rural area seeking preventive care, the Trust’s support creates consistency and access that changes lives.
Through partnerships with Catholic, public, and charter schools, plus community groups and Full Service Schools, our pediatric teams bring compassionate care straight to where kids are, in Duval and surrounding counties.
The Lucy Gooding Charitable Foundation Trust’s quarter-century of giving reflects our ministry’s founding values: that every child deserves healthcare, no matter their family’s income.
For Anna and thousands of children like her, that belief has meant getting care they might have otherwise gone without — sports physicals that keep them active, school exams that open educational doors, and preventive care that catches problems early.
Thank you, Lucy Gooding Charitable Foundation Trust, for 25 years of faithful partnership. Your commitment is the difference between children in need and children in care.
