The 22nd annual Delicious Destinations event raised the bar once again – in terms of food, ambiance and generosity. Ascension St. Vincent’s Foundation’s 1920s- themed event, touted as “Sip, Savor and Support,” raised more than $374,000 to benefit community outreach programs.

“The commitment from our supporters – small and large – never ceases to amaze us,“ said Susan DuChanois with the Foundation. “This will help so many vulnerable individuals and families who otherwise couldn’t afford healthcare.”

The weekend’s festivities for Delicious Destinations, presented by Miller Electric, kicked off with the Celebrity Chef by the Sea Luncheon, sponsored by Ponte Vedra Beach Women’s Health and Robotics. Celebrity Chef Colin McClimans, executive chef and owner of Nina May and Opal restaurants in Washington, D.C. crafted delicious coastal offerings, then mingled among attendees. Riverside Oncologist Dr. Martin Martino of Ponte Vedra Beach Women’s Health and Robotics added some extra flair to the event using their robotics technology to plate guests’ desserts.

The main event on Sept. 7 included a unique speakeasy environment and featured a wide array of coastal foods prepared by 13 regionally celebrated chefs. These were paired perfectly with fine wines by Shaun Wright from Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits. Many attendees also enjoyed unique cocktails imagined by Armando Rosario, master mixologist & spirits educator. Special thanks to Sen. Aaron Bean for lending his talents to our live auction and to the many people who purchased from our silent auction.
